Writing Market: Fiction and Verse

This is a fairly new online market for short stories and poetry and there is a small payment made according to length. Sounds quite a good home for certain short stories.

Fiction and Verse accept Micro fiction from 100 words, to short stories up to 7500 words, as well as poetry. In addition to publishing an author's biography page on their site, they also provide links to authors' published work and websites. Check out the full details on their website.

Must just mention my daughter's very creative sketchbook which she completed as a fun project at the end of last year - it's now being transported (with others) around American libraries and has been digitised to view online. You can read more about it, with a link to the sketchbook, over on her Through the Looking Glass blog.

Thanks for yet another writing opportunity,Rosemary. And I've had a look at Vikki's sketchbook - real talent. I'd no idea she did this!

I have just popped over to Vikki's blog - the poems are so lovely (especially the Haiku).

Thanks for what looks like an interesting potential market, Rosemary. I see they also look at first chapters of self-published novels.
Vikki's sketch book is really good. I didn't know she was a talented visual artist as well as a writer.

Thank you for the info about Fiction and Verse - sounds very interesting as I have some poetry I haven't sent anywhere.

How clever of Vikki to not only create but also digitise her lovely book. I especially loved the Haiku,

Two talented Gemmell ladies!!

Love Ange xx

I have just been browsing through Vicki's sketchbook and I am glad it will be preserved in the archives after travelling in Americas. Some of her words are so beautiful - like Haiku Two, and I enjoyed her artwork. You must be a very proud Mum.
