I think it's just a kind of pseudo-advance bereavement, the thought of having to let go of all those characters that I've created and fallen in love with. :-) Lots of food for thought, though, great post!Nicky Wellshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03449060624950454577noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5278356786329973174.post-11726911104155882492012-05-14T04:00:12.103-07:002012-05-14T04:00:12.103-07:00You too, Carol? I'm nearing the final section of my novel, but have been keeping my characters hovering, talking, delaying the final part of their journey, almost as if I don't want to let go of them. However, I'm about to plough on, having decided Monday is a good day to adopt a new, tougher attitude towards tackling the things I'm putting off. I have a short story to conclude, then the novel to bring much further on by the end of the day when the girls come home. My husband's off to Dublin and I'm all alone. There's simply no excuse...

Good luck, Rosemary, I hope you make lots of progress today too.Joannahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10346863303904973315noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5278356786329973174.post-73620421768505117242012-05-14T03:38:23.436-07:002012-05-14T03:38:23.436-07:00I recognise that problem too, Rosemary.

I took a two week break because I was just so frustated and now, if I add 100 words a day I'm lucky. I know how it's supposed to end, I just have to get there.
Best of luck with the contests.Anne Gallagherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05816355522284492131noreply@blogger.com
