...The absolute joy of meeting up again with my first grandchild. I can't believe the change in only the couple of weeks since we last saw her, and she is even more smiley and interactive. It was lovely to see the son and daughter-in-law too, of course!
...The unexpected bag of favourite chocolates son bought me.
...A walk with DH along by the shore, the winter sun shimmering on the water and a slight mist lying on the far-off hills.
...Reading two very different, enjoyable books, a print one downstairs in the evening and a kindle one in bed.
...Watching an excellent drama, or two, on TV that leaves us wanting more.
...Coffee and conversation with good friends.
...Keeping fairly well up with the NaNoWriMo word count - and enjoying it!
I'm sure there are lots of other things that make me happy (I'm easily pleased) but that's just the past few days. What makes you happy?

What a beautiful granddaughter, Rosemary - you must be very proud.
What makes me happy?
1) My eight year old grandson wanting his username for his online game to be 'Grandma hugger'!
2) Coming home and feeling smug after mastering the tricky Zumba moves that the class who are half my age couldn't do.
3)Dancing Argentine tango with my husband.
4)Stroking my cat on my lap while watching the latest series of Australian masterchef.
5)Opening a magazine for the first time and seeing my story there.
Lovely photos, Rosemary - and what happy years you have ahead as you watch her grow. Makes me wish my grandsons were little again, but they're 24 and 18 now!
Oh Rosemary isn't she gorgeous. What a beautiful happy little face :-) xx
These are beautiful pictures, Rosemary. What a gorgeous, smiley baby!
For me, happiness is being at home, writing or reading, with all the family happily busy with the things they enjoy too, and then spending the evenings talking about our day.
Thank you, Wendy, I am indeed! Love your happiness list - what a delightful username your grandson chose. I loved zumba last year and I would dearly love to tango, Argentine or otherwise.
Thanks, Paula - I can imagine how you feel!
Thank you, Teresa - I know I'm biased!
Many thanks, Joanna! Your happy days sound idyllic - it's definitely the simplest things that are the most enjoyable.
Oh she's beautiful! My Monster used to have a hat with ears on it too. I just love those.
Lovely photos, Rosemary. I think in the one on the left she looks like Vikki.
What makes me happy? Well, when student son phones home and doesn't have a problem but just wants to chat.
Sunshine!
How lovely, Rosemary. The photo of her in her pushchair looks just like you!
Thanks, Anne - they're kind of cute those furry ears!
I'm sure she'll be delighted, Mary! I can identify with those phone calls.
Aw, thank you, Jean - you've made my day!
What a gorgeous baby! Lots of things make me happy, but grandchildren have to top the list! Oh....and horses, of course.
Aw, look at that wee smiley face. She's completely gorgeous, Rosemary.
xx
Aw, what lovely photos! How beautiful she is - happiness indeed.
Thanks, Frances!
Thank you, Suzanne - I have to think so, of course!
Many thanks, Talli - it won't be long until your own little bundle of joy arrives!
Love how she has perfected her pose now for the camera:)
