There's no doubt that life in a big house amongst the aristocracy is a popular genre, especially with our friends across the Pond, whether that be in films or books. One well-known Regency author, Jo Beverley, came up with the lovely idea of posting on her blog a selection of Regency novels that are set around a large country house at Christmas, by different writers.
I'm very honoured that Midwinter Masquerade is included in the list and I'll be checking out the other books mentioned. If you're interested, you can find the titles, covers and blurbs on Jo Beverley's Blog - where you can also recommend in the comments any others you might have read with this kind of setting at the festive season.

I'll certainly be looking at Jo's list-I have a number of her books-so congratulations on your book's inclusion, Rosemary. :-)
I've never watched Downton Abbey. I do like reading historical stories though.
My daughter is an avid fan of Downton Abbey and even has Downton pyjama parties. I must admit it has never appealed to me but I will pop over to Jo's blog. Many congratulations on Midwinter Masquerade, Rosemary. All the best.
Thanks, Carol - Jo is a good writer of Regencies.
Glad you like reading them, Patsy.
Thank you, Nicola. Your daughter must be a real fan of Downton - have never heard of a pyjama party with that them, though it sounds great!
I agree! I hope this series is the last, and I would like to see Edith's chap come back from Germany (and the dead). It's very frustrating to watch sometimes, but I do love Maggie Smith's character.
Hi Becca- glad you agree about Downton! And I too love Maggie Smith, in just about everything.
